If being religiously affiliated played a part in why you came to UIndy 1. I was made aware of UIndy through my church 2. I liked that there were no sororities or fraternities in addition to that the campus had a youth ministry degree all of which I associate with it being a religious 3. I wanted to attend a Christian based institution 4. It made me a little weary, but I decided to come 5. I am a Methodist 6. I wanted to attend a college with the same religious beliefs ON-CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT If you are involved in on-campus religious/worship related activities please specify your involvement: Thursday Night Alive = 2 Compassionate Acts = 1 United Methodist Student Association = 2 Chapel Steward = 1 Praise & Worship = 10 Catholic Mass = 1 Meditation Room = 1 The Peak = 1 Mentoring = 2 Taize = 5 Fellowship of Christian Students = 1 The Deliverance Project = 1 Threshold Leader = 1 The Reunion = 1 Campus Crusade as long as Christ = 3 Bible Study = 4 CVOC Classes = 1 Chi Alpha = 1

SATISFIED Not Satisfied Tell us why 1. We do well as ecumenical, but I would love to see growth as far as interfaith! 2. Too disorganized; there are too many groups that meet at the same times. Re-organization of religious groups would do the E & I office a lot of good! 3. I underst in addition to it’s a religious institution based on affiliation, but I would prefer professors not to refer to religion, God, etc. in class as not everyone in class is a Christian. 4. I don’t really hear about meetings or Bible studies that take place. 5. I actually know nothing about it. Direct in as long as mation is not provided. 6. I’m a science major in addition to some professors really look down on Christians in addition to really push evolution hard. I can’t escape it as a double science major. It’s just sad in addition to I really pray that God would move in that place. 7. Sometimes I feel a little suffocated by Christian groups on campus with no outlets as long as my own. 8. I feel that the religious life on campus is geared toward those with strong faith in Christianity, rather than those searching as long as a faith. 9. I tried to attend a couple of bible studies but one didn’t meet when a sign said it would, in addition to another bible study leader did not get back with me about meeting. I felt over 4 years that the religious life on campus was hypocritical in addition to biased. I didn’t feel welcomed or accepted. OFF-CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT

Which best describes your interaction with the Chaplains/EIP Office Not Satisfied Tell us why 1. We do well as ecumenical, but I would love to see growth as far as interfaith! 2. I felt over 4 years that the religious life on campus was hypocritical in addition to biased. I didn’t feel welcomed or accepted. What could the University do to improve your experiences in regards to religious life Continue all of the current programs Lessen the amount of groups on campus so there could be several stronger groups instead of many little (3) Worship on Sunday would be greatly appreciated Regular bible study Allow students to be more aware of what is happening on campus (4) Work on the staff’s attitude toward God, especially science department. I’ve had quite a few experiences. One professor in a class was teaching on evolution in addition to at the end of the lecture, she showed a few cartoon jokes that basically said God is jiberish (that’s described nicely). Another professor look at me in addition to said, “You’re educated! And you believe in God!!” Yet another professor was doing a student advisory meeting as long as scheduling with a friend of mine (a Christian). He told her she could either take a philosophy class or a religion class. He asked her which one she was planning on taking. Then he tried to talk her into taking philosophy instead. The science department just needs help in this area. I feel that completely ignoring the possibility of God is flat out bad. Have interdenominational/inter-religious events that celebrate in addition to teach about religions. Have more ways to be disciple in addition to pushed. Not come off judgmental or biased to strictly traditional Have a service on Sunday evening lead by the Chaplains. I would like there to be a bigger voice as long as the Catholic student organization.

If I could change anything about religious life on campus Large social events with all the religious RSOs More advertising (5) More involvement More Bible studies Have a Sunday evening service lead by the Chaplains As a side note, I did ask about what could be improved about getting in as long as mation out to students .the majority of responses were: facebook, twitter, large/catch posters with pictures, weekly emails, etc. What are programs/activities/services that you wish were provided on campus in relation to religious life Interfaith service projects (3) A chapel hour where nothing else could be scheduled in addition to people who wanted to attend were able. Permanent labyrinth on campus M in addition to atory “History of Religion” course Occasional sermons directed towards college students Missions Trips Interfaith as long as ums Questions & Discussion 1.
